VIVO

A new chapter in premium mobile technology in Hungary

Exclusive unveiling on the Danube

Vivo, one of the world's most dynamically growing smartphone brands, has now arrived in Hungary.

Vivo celebrated its entry into the Hungarian market on the Danube, on the River Diva event boat, which provided a special atmosphere, where the brand's domestic partners and vivo's European leaders, including Changjun Li, vivo's European CEO, Daizhong Tian, vivo's managing director for Austria and Hungary, and Martin Wallner, vivo's vice president for Austria and Hungary, presented vivo's new plans for Hungary in a unique setting.

The pinnacle of mobile photography

The event focused on the new mid-range vivo V40 model, which is arriving in Hungary as the brand's flagship device, bringing the next level of mobile photography to users. Krisztina Szabó, Senior Marketing and PR Manager at vivo Hungary, and András Horányi, Sales Director for the brand, gave a detailed presentation of the brand's cutting-edge devices and their outstanding capabilities, paying particular attention to the camera system developed in collaboration with Zeiss.

Elliot Shih, Product Manager at Zeiss, explained how they have jointly transformed the mobile photography experience, creating a new generation of premium-quality images and detailed photos. The V40's Zeiss main camera and "Aura Light" Ringlight technology enable high-quality images and selfies to be taken even in low light conditions – all with an extremely long battery life that allows the device to be used for up to two days.

Vivo's rapid growth is reflected in the fact that it was the fourth largest mobile phone manufacturer in the second quarter of 2023 and sold 22 million phones in the third quarter of 2023. Its continued growth is evidenced by the fact that this figure rose to 27.2 million in the third quarter of 2024, and according to Canalys data, vivo achieved the highest growth in the third quarter of 2024 with 24% compared to other manufacturers. Europe is a strategically important market for vivo and is at the heart of its long-term plans. The goal is to strengthen its presence in Hungary and showcase its state-of-the-art technological solutions.

Guests were able to try out the full range of vivo devices available in Hungary, including the V40, V40SE 4G and 5G, and Y28 models. These innovative products are now available at Yettel, MediaMarkt, Firstphone, BestByte, and Alza stores, giving Hungarian users easy access to vivo's latest technologies.

With its entry into the Hungarian market, vivo is taking the mobile experience to a new level, with a focus on quality camera experience, impressive innovation and premium services.
